Richard, founder of GapShark, laughing in an armchair
Hi, I'm Richard

Why I built GapShark.

I started this business after leaving a Director role at a leading multinational architecture, design and construction firm with over 300 staff. What I took with me was this: most business problems are solved faster with the right technology than with more boots on the ground.

Today I run five businesses, this one included, on my own. Not by working all hours, but because the right tools and systems do the heavy lifting.

I'm not telling you to let your team go. I'll help you use modern technology to win more sales, save money and get more done. You might even get some time off.

You know your business. I'll find what's holding it back.

The difference

Why GapShark?

Most owners I meet are following the herd, signing up for each new AI tool because everyone else has.

I start with your business instead. I look for the gaps that are costing you: the inquiry that went unanswered, the tool nobody has opened in months, the step everyone does but nobody needs.

Then I close them. Sometimes that means adding something. Often it means taking something away.

Fewer tools. Better systems. More clients.

How I work

Straight answers. Fixed prices.

  • Fixed prices, agreed up front
  • You own every account and login
  • Plain English, no jargon
  • Sometimes the fix is less: fewer tools, fewer steps
  • Your Gap Audit report is yours to keep, hired or not
  • If you don't need me, I'll tell you

  • Local directories used to be so labor-intensive. Building our new site would have taken six months at least. With Richard's systems we were up and running in three weeks, and updating the site is 90% quicker and less effort than it used to be.
